Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, a 20-track expansion of Larsson’s acclaimed 2025 album, revisits all 10 original songs with a globe-spanning lineup of women who bring their own voices, styles and swagger to the material. The result is a full-scale pop passport, bouncing between dance floors, languages, genres and generations without ever taking its foot off the gas.
Larsson assembled an impressive guest list for the trip including Shakira, Robyn, Tyla, PinkPantheress, Kehlani, JT, Madison Beer, Emilia, Helena Gao, Margo XS, BAMBII, Malibu and Eli. It’s a cast that stretches from indie circles to international superstardom, with Larsson serving as both ringleader and willing shape-shifter.
The new version of “Midnight Sun” pairs Larsson with PinkPantheress, fusing radiant dance-pop with the British artist’s restless, UK garage-inflected pulse. Kehlani turns “Blue Moon” into a lush R&B slow burn, while JT storms into the Margo XS remix of “Pretty Ugly” with a blistering verse. Shakira gives “Eurosummer” a jet-setting club makeover, Tyla adds even more heat to “Hot & Sexy,” and Robyn’s unmistakable presence makes “Puss Puss” feel like a meeting of two generations of Scandinavian pop royalty.
Throughout, Larsson adds fresh vocals, helping the songs feel less like remixes than alternate realities.
