With Band Of Brothers, WARMEN channel their Children of Bodom roots into a harder, tighter melodic death metal assault that proves this Finnish crew is at the top of their game.

WARMEN have returned with Band Of Brothers, their seventh album and a blistering statement from a band intent on honoring and expanding the legacy of Children of Bodom. The killer new album finds the Finnish heavy metal unit hitting harder, playing tighter, and locking in as a true collective.

Formed in 2000 by keyboardist Janne “Warman” Wirman, who had been with Children of Bodom since 1997, WARMEN began as a neoclassical and melodic metal project, largely instrumental with only occasional guest vocals. That changed in 2023 when the band brought in Petri Lindroos of Ensiferum as a full-time frontman, shifting decisively toward the melodic death metal power and aggression that defined Wirman’s past work. Their comeback album Here For None set the tone, and Band Of Brothers raises the stakes even higher.

For the first time, songwriting was a fully shared process, with Lindroos and drummer Seppo Tarvainen contributing riffs and even entire songs. Lyrically, the album draws from searing social frustration, true crime, and cinematic violence, with every note fueled by raw emotion. Recorded in part at Finland’s famed Finnvox Studios and finished with Mikko Karmila’s mix and Mika Jussila’s mastering, it delivers the crushing precision and melodic finesse that are now the band’s trademarks.

From its roots as a side project to its evolution into a full-fledged melodic death metal force, WARMEN have become exactly what the title declares, a band of brothers ready to claim their place at the top of the metal ranks.
