Psychedelic Enigma finds Them at full power, blending horror-fueled storytelling with explosive musicianship to deliver their most intense and ambitious metal saga yet.

With Psychedelic Enigma, power metal outfit Them deliver their most ambitious concept album yet, a cinematic horror-metal saga that builds suspense like The Sixth Sense or The Others before unveiling its shocking secret in a grand, progressive finale.

Continuing the chilling narrative arc of their earlier releases (Sweet Hollow, Manor Of The Se7en Gables, Return To Hemmersmoor, and Fear City), this latest chapter finds guitarist Markus Ullrich, vocalist KK Fossor, guitarist Markus Johansson, bassist Alexander Palma, and keyboardist Richie Seibel pushing their sound to new extremes. “For us, it’s not a change in style but a conscious step toward greater dynamics and stronger extremes,” says the band.

Produced with legendary sound engineer Randy Burns (Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Kreator), the album balances raw aggression and precision. “Randy has given our new material that ultra-aggressive sound,” Ullrich explains, “and when an icon like him does that kind of thing, he of course has good reasons for it.”

Lead single "Catatonia" erupts with ferocity, followed by the blistering "Remember To Die" and the mind-bending "Psychonautic State." Meanwhile, "The Scarlett Remains" captures the band’s full range in under five minutes, while the sprawling three-part epic of "Electric Church," "Echoes Of The Forgotten Realm,"and "Troubled Minds" pushes their sound to its most ambitious heights.

Adding to the dark allure, Giannis Nakos (Evergrey, Kamelot, Amaranthe) created the striking cover art, which mirrors the album’s story and twists its symbolism across the inner sleeve. The result is an immersive experience that many will regard as Them’s boldest and most detailed release to date.
