On their third album, Between The Lines, the Price Sisters explore country balladry, folk Americana, string bands, Gospel, and even indie blues-rock to create a rich tapestry which pushes the boundaries of bluegrass.

In the rolling hills of eastern Ohio, where family bonds are as sturdy as the soil and melodies echo through the valleys, the Price Sisters' music career took root. Their third album, Between The Lines, shows how much their talents have grown, echoing the timeless wisdom that the third time truly is a charm.

In this 15-song cycle, Leanna Price and Lauren Price Napier, the twin forces behind the Price Sisters, dig deep into the heart of bluegrass tradition while casting a wide net to include elements of country, folk, Americana and rock.

The Price Sisters' odyssey began amidst the backdrop of their family farm, where old-time country songs were as commonplace as the sunrise. Raised on harmonies as tight as family bonds, Leanna and Lauren's musical journey took flight early on, nurtured by a community steeped in both tradition and innovation.

That journey led them through the hallowed grounds of bluegrass festivals and workshops, honing their craft until they emerged as acclaimed vocalists and instrumentalists. With their debut EP in 2016 and their first LP, A Heart Never Knows, in 2018, the duo quickly garnered accolades and nominations, solidifying their status as rising stars in the bluegrass world.

But just as they were poised to embark on their next chapter, the world ground to a halt with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Forced into introspection, the sisters seized the opportunity to sharpen their focus and embark on their most ambitious project yet. Enlisting the talents of their seasoned touring band and the guiding hand of producer Ronnie McCoury, Leanna and Lauren retreated to the tranquil confines of The Tractor Shed in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. There, amidst the warmth of live instrumentation and the camaraderie of kindred spirits, Between The Lines began to take shape.

From the feverish strings of "Midnight" to the haunting allure of "Ten Cent Pistol," each track on the album speaks volumes about the duo's musical evolution. With nods to bluegrass legends like Bill Monroe and of course, Del McCoury, alongside reimagined classics and original compositions, the album is a masterclass in musical storytelling.
