The Patricks, hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, and steeped in the rich tradition of gospel quartet music, have returned after a 25-year hiatus with their new album Legacy, a fusion of timeless melodies and modern resonance.

From Memphis, Tennessee, a quartet of divine harmony has emerged weaving melodies that echo the past but are truly modern in sound. The Patricks, once known as the Divine Inspirations and later as Frankie & Divine, have etched their mark in gospel music history. Now, after a quarter-century hiatus, they return with fervor and a new album titled Legacy, poised to reignite the flames of gospel quartet tradition.

Originating in 1995, the Patricks, initially known as the Divine Inspirations, later morphed into Frankie & Divine, releasing their debut album My Burdens Down in 1996, followed by Feel The Spirit in 1998. Fast forward to 2024, both albums are being reintroduced under the banner of Chispa Music Group, serving as a prelude to their grand comeback.

Led by the dynamic father-son duo of Frankie Patrick and Carlos Patrick, the Patricks are not just a revival but a continuation of a musical dynasty. Embarking on their journey with the new album Legacy, they are joined by a new generation of talent, including grandsons Christopher Holmes and Caanin Foster, ensuring that the family's musical lineage endures.

Led by single, "With All I Got," Legacy pays homage to the timeless quartet sound, drawing inspiration from legends such as the Williams Brothers and the Pilgrim Jubilees. The essence of quartet music pulsates through the veins of the Patricks, anchoring their sound in tradition while embracing the contemporary. Gospel quartet music, with its rich heritage, has influenced artists across genres, from jazz to hip-hop, rock, and soul, shaping the very fabric of American music. The Patricks stand as torchbearers, drawing inspiration from icons like the Canton Spirituals, the Soul Stirrers, and the Blind Boys of Alabama.

In a heartfelt tribute to the Reverend Al Green, the Patricks breathe new life into the golden classic "Jesus Will Fix It." Moreover, their album Legacy features a track inspired by the indelible spirit of Motown legend Marvin Gaye, aptly titled "Going Through," showcasing their versatility and reverence for musical icons.

Yet, beyond their musical prowess, there's an ineffable grace that permeates the Patricks' essence - a familial bond intertwined with sublime talent. Legacy, the culmination of their journey, is being released digitally and on vinyl.
