Nearly a full decade after the release of his debut EP Endless Tides, UK-based metalcore project The Monster You Created is back to explore more sounds and genres with the release of his first full-length album, Never Coming Back.
Never Coming Back is one man's love letter to the glory days of melodic metalcore... told through a genre-bending concept album.
Never Coming Back is the first full-length album from UK-based metalcore project The Monster You Created, following the limited release of debut EP Endless Tides back in 2013. The album has been released independently and has slowly been making its way onto various popular streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
The Monster You Created is a one-man music project based in the UK and, while generally described as “metalcore,” often explores other sounds and genres – some softer, some heavier. Like the 2013 EP, all of the tracks featured on Never Coming Back were recorded and mixed at home but this time with much higher production values and many contributions from freelance artists.
Never Coming Back is a throwback to the glory days of melodic metalcore and unashamed electronicore, with a signature sprinkling of softer acoustic tracks and other genres that may surprise you. Like the title of its second track, "Endless Tides," the album has an ebb and flow that can only be appreciated by listening to each track chronologically, as it was intended.
