Holly Ross and David Blackwell recorded these songs during the sessions for Eggsistentialism and had no idea what to do with them once the album was out. Ross calls them leftovers that never fit the mood of the record, while Blackwell describes them as a sketchbook. Unpolished ideas, tossed aside, then fished back out and proudly displayed like the world’s best trash find. They named it Bin Juice because the songs were thrown away, but only the Lovely Eggs could treat castoffs like treasure and invite everyone else to come digging.
