The Steve Bardwil Band reaches for something bigger on their sophomore album Stardust In Disguise, a new collection of melodic rock, power pop and psychedelia produced by multi-Grammy winner Joe Chiccarelli (U2, Elton John, The White Stripes). 

Recorded at Los Angeles’ legendary EastWest Studios, with Steve Bardwil on vocals and acoustic guitar alongside Johnny Stachela on electric guitar, Max Butler on keyboards, Frank Coglitore on bass, Vince Fossett on drums, Catherine Jayne on vocals and Aaron Leibowitz on saxophone and flute, Stardust In Disguise pairs classic songcraft with psychedelic flourishes and a decidedly cosmic point of view.

The album features some notable guests including violinist Scarlet Rivera, forever associated with Bob Dylan’s Desire, “Hurricane” and the Rolling Thunder Revue, while singer Liz Brasher adds backing vocals to several tracks, including “Falling For Forever,” “Doing Nothing,” “Good Things” and “Drink The Good Stuff.”

Backed by stunning visuals directed by award-winning filmmaker Andrew van den Houten, several songs found on the album are supported by videos including the title track “Stardust In Disguise,” which reflects Bardwil’s lifelong fascination with astronomy and the idea that everything around us, including ourselves, is ultimately made from the same cosmic material.
