Slash’s Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, recorded in July 2024, roars with raw blues fire as he and his powerhouse band revive the spirit of rock’s roots with grit, soul, and unrelenting energy.

Slash reignites his lifelong love affair with the blues on Live at the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, a blistering concert film and album that captures his July 17, 2024 performance at Colorado’s Mission Ballroom. The show was part of the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour, a project dedicated to celebrating the roots of rock through the raw, unfiltered energy of live blues. With his group Slash’s Blues Ball, the legendary guitarist channels the grit, soul, and fire that defined his earliest influences.

The band features Slash on lead and rhythm guitar alongside longtime collaborator Teddy “ZigZag” Andreadis on keyboards, harmonica, and vocals, Tash Neal on rhythm guitar and vocals, Johnny Griparic on bass and backing vocals, and Michael Jerome on drums. Together they bring the sound of the blues roaring into the modern era, blending reverence for tradition with the unrelenting power of a seasoned rock band.

Across the set, Slash and company tear into a deep mix of standards and classics from artists who inspired generations. The setlist moves from Bukka White’s "Parchman Farm Blues" and Howlin’ Wolf’s "Killing Floor" to Fleetwood Mac’s "Oh Well," Booker T. & the MG’s "Born Under A Bad Sign," and Elmore James’ "Shake Your Money Maker." Their version of "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" rides a smoky groove, while "Stormy Monday" slows things down to a simmer before flaring into soulful catharsis. Slash also unveils a new original, "Metal Chestnut," a thick, swaggering tune that stands proudly among the timeless material it sits beside.

The concert film pairs these performances with behind-the-scenes interviews that give fans a rare glimpse of Slash’s mindset and creative spirit. He reflects on the deep personal connection he feels to the blues, sharing stories about the artists who shaped his playing and the emotional pull that keeps him returning to the genre. It’s an honest look at a musician paying tribute to his roots while continuing to evolve as one of the most respected guitarists in modern rock.
