For more than a year, PRESIDENT have made it perfectly clear they’re not looking to to explain themselves. Since emerging from the U.K. rock underground in 2025, the anonymous collective has offered little in the way of biography or identity, instead letting the music tell the story. Now they’re ready to reveal their most important legislation yet, their debut album Blood Of Your Empire and its the ominous single “Dark Heaven.”

The track is PRESIDENT in microcosm, showing off every they do in one song. The crushing alt-metal guitars, some electronic textures, 808-heavy rhythms and an over the top aura all colliding into something punishing and strange. A distorted riff gives way to booming low end before the song erupts into a soaring chorus, while its lyrics wrestle with faith, identity and what happens when everything you know stops making sense.

“‘Dark Heaven’ is a reflection on the contradictions of faith,” the band explains, framing the song not as an attack on belief but as an attempt to excavate something genuine beneath the noise, division and power struggles that have accumulated around it.

That unease is central to Blood Of Your Empire. The anonymous provocateurs describe the album as emerging from an existential crisis involving belief, mortality and humanity’s complicated relationship with religion. The record confronts two uncomfortable truths at once: faith has inspired extraordinary compassion and beauty, while also being invoked throughout history to justify violence and suffering. It’s an album obsessed with conflict, ideology and the human instinct to find meaning amid chaos.

With Blood Of Your Empire, PRESIDENT aren’t simply hiding behind masks. They’re using anonymity as a way to ask bigger questions: What do we believe? Why do we believe it? And what happens when those beliefs become weapons? For a band that refuses to tell us who they are, PRESIDENT are off to a good start in telling us who we might be.
