Otm Shank delivers a light-hearted and quirky club-ready track inspired by the Indian hand drum tabla.
“Powder” features Indian sarod stabs, tabla grooves, and trippy vocal layers alongside hard hitting beats and deep bass. Tabla players use powder to keep the surface of the drums dry and the track features a conversation between a student and his guru about what sort of powder to use. The EP includes a groovy remix from Brooklyn-based Pakistani producer Saqib, his debut on Pinkturban.
