Originally titled Blame It On Set, Offset's new album was initially slated for release in November of 2022. However, the tragic passing of his close friend and fellow Migos member, Takeoff, led to a postponement as a mark of respect. The hip-hop trio Migos, of which Offset and Takeoff were integral members, had to put their collective mourning before musical pursuits.

One of the standout singles from Set It Off is the fierce and infectious track "FAN." Produced by a stellar team including Aaron Bow, FNZ, Teddy Walton, Thank You Fizzle, and Thurdi, "FAN" captures Offset's dynamic energy and sets the tone for the album. The visuals for the video are equally cool, with Offset paying homage to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The video unfolds with cinematic flair, featuring Offset navigating the streets amidst unrest and undergoing nightmarish transformations. The video, shot in Los Angeles, also features appearances by Twitch stars Kai Cenat and Fanum.

Offset shares the significance of Set It Off, stating, "I've been working on this project for over two years now. This season is personal for me. It marks a new chapter in my life. I feel like Michael Jackson coming from a successful group breaking records to superstardom on my own. This body of work is healing for me and a letter to my fans and supporters."
