Nathan Mitchell delivers his very first record label-driven recording, signing recently to Billboard's Smooth Jazz Label of the Year, Trippin N Rhythm Records, and dropping his label debut Its My Time and the title suggests it all.
With a long and storied history in the music business and having been the consummate go-to side guy for many of the genres biggest names, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Nathan Mitchell has released It's My Time, his first for Trippin N Rhythm Records.
Teaming up with label mate Nicholas Cole for mixing duties and enlisting the talents of Kirk Whalum, Tim Bowman and Macus Anderson, and the late Nick Colionne, It's My Time offers Mitchell's statement loud and clear that his time is here and he delivers a varied selection of infectious musical missives sure to place him as one who will boldly carry the smooth jazz torch well into the next decade. "Journey To Love" is the lead single which features Kirk Whalum whose sax envelops with a sense of familiarity and is instantly recognizable and infectious. An ear worm for the ages that should do well to firmly establish Mitchell as one to watch.
