Across ten tracks oscillating between punk and alt-pop, Mannequin Pussy's I Got Heaven explores themes of desire, solitude's strength, and navigating an indifferent and unkind world.

Mannequin Pussy's musical essence resonates as a resilient and galvanizing proclamation demanding attention. Hailing from Philadelphia, the band comprises Colins "Bear" Regisford on bass and vocals, Kaleen Reading on drums and percussion, Maxine Steen on guitar and synths, and Marisa Dabice on guitar and vocals. Through four albums, they have crafted cathartic melodies echoing the struggles of tumultuous times.

Dabice articulates the band's ethos, expressing, "There's just so much constantly going on that feels intentionally evil; trying to make something beautiful feels like a radical act." This sentiment underscores their mission to foster unity through their music.

I Got Heaven documents the band's unwavering commitment, capturing their raw energy and fervor. Building on the critical success of their third album, Patience, in 2019, Mannequin Pussy followed up with the EP Perfect in 2021. The relentless touring that ensued led to the addition of guitarist Maxine Steen to the band's official lineup.

The band's evolution marked their creative process as they shifted to collaborative songwriting sessions in Los Angeles with producer John Congleton. Regisford reflects on this change, noting, "Everyone felt empowered to speak up about their own ideas to make this thing the best it could possibly be."
