On her new single, “just wanna be yours,” Lynz crafts moody indie-pop allure with sharp production instincts into a track that’s equal parts romantic haze and quiet intensity.
Don’t let the soft edges fool you. Lynz is building something sharp beneath the surface. With her latest single, "just wanna be yours," the Buffalo-raised, LA-based producer and songwriter delivers a chilled-out, emotionally tangled track that sounds like the Weeknd wandered into an indie pop daydream. Co-mixed with Grammy-winning engineer Justin Hergett (FINNEAS, Ashe, Niall Horan), the song pulses with understated confidence and a dark romantic streak that lingers long after it ends.
A self-taught producer who released her debut album Dusk At Dawn at just 16, Lynz quickly caught attention with her talent and work ethic — winning the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame songwriting competition and landing a full-ride scholarship to USC’s GRAMMY Camp for Audio Engineering. Since moving to Los Angeles, she’s been making serious inroads with her recording career, refining her sound at Westlake Studios and becoming a regular at events like PopHangs, the Hotel Cafe’s Monday Monday, and other intimate gatherings where tomorrow’s hits are often born.
Her high-energy live performances, which blend looping, vocals, synths, and drum machines, have earned her festival invites up and down the West Coast. This summer, she’s set to debut at We Found New Music and Breaking Sound showcases in Los Angeles, all while continuing to collaborate with emerging artists for sync placements and future singles.
With more releases on the way and a full-length project taking shape, "just wanna be yours" marks another confident stride from an artist carving out her own lane with style and intention.
