Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace, known for her fearless exploration of social commentary and candid self-exploration, is back with her latest album, Hole In My Head.

Following the release of the critically acclaimed track "Dysphoria Hoodie," Laura Jane Grace continues to confront listeners with her raw and introspective songwriting. A veteran of the punk scene since the late ’90s with her band, Against Me!, Grace has never been one to shy away from tackling heavy themes. From political commentary to environmentalism, her music serves as a platform for unfiltered expression and reflection. On Hole In My Head, she looks even deeper into the complexities of human experience with an album that’s both introspective yet strangely optimistic.

Recorded at Native Sound in St. Louis, MO, and mixed by Matt Allison (The Lawrence Arms, Rise Against), Hole In My Head defies easy categorization. Warm, ’50s rock-influenced guitar riffs mingle with inward-looking lyrics and love letters to new surroundings. Backed by Drive-By Truckers bassist Matt Patton, Grace's always commanding vocals take center stage, supported by her own performances on guitar and drums.

As a much-respected figure in music, both as a solo artist and frontwoman, Grace has continually challenged conventions. With four solo records and seven albums with Against Me!, she has established herself as one of punk rock's hardest working artists. Her openness about her gender transition, detailed in a groundbreaking 2012 interview with Rolling Stone, further solidified her status as a trailblazer. On Hole In My Head, Grace continues to chronicle her personal journey while staying true to her punk roots. With a sound that draws from American music traditions, including country and folk-rock, she seamlessly blends noise and anarchy with heartfelt storytelling.
