Dubbed "the first couple of Americana" by MOJO, Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams release their terrific new album, All This Time.

Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams' journey together began in a Manhattan rehearsal studio in 1986. Campbell, a native New Yorker with a reputation for musical virtuosity, laid eyes on Williams, an actress and vocalist hailing from Peckerwood Point, TN, who had been roped into a singing contest. "As soon as I saw her, I knew she was the one," Campbell recalls. And for Teresa, it was love at first note.

Their shared musical sensibility deepened their bond from the start, with Larry wooing Teresa with a mixtape of Louvin Brothers' tunes. As they played together, whether it was under the tree where they exchanged vows or on tour with Bob Dylan's band, their connection flourished. "I found a connection I had never experienced before," Campbell reflects.

It wasn't until a decade later, after honing their craft with Levon Helm's band at his legendary Midnight Rambles in Woodstock, that Campbell and Williams took the leap to record together. Their new album, All This Time, marks their fourth collaboration, showcasing a duo that has matured with time.

Campbell describes All This Time as more intuitive, less experimental, evidence of their growth and self-awareness as artists. The album is a celebration of love in all its forms, from the joyous exuberance of tracks like "Desert Island Dreams" and "Ride With Me" to the raw vulnerability of songs like "The Way You Make Me Feel" and "I Love You."

Their journey hasn't been without challenges, particularly during the pandemic. Campbell battled Covid while Williams cared for her ailing father in Tennessee. Isolated and struggling, they leaned on each other for support. "Teresa pulled me through," Campbell acknowledges. And in turn, Williams found solace in Campbell's lyrics, which serve as love letters born from adversity.

While it's no surprise that relationships are often tested, Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams remind us that love, when nurtured with care and perseverance, can endure even the harshest of storms. Theirs is a story rooted in resilience, a testament to the enduring power of love, and All This Time is proof of that.
