Comprised of 16 tracks and interludes, Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd features guests including Father John Misty, Tommy Genesis, Jon Batiste, Bleachers, and more.

The first single and title track was written by Lana Del Rey and Mike Hermosa and produced by Lana Del Rey, Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff, Drew Erickson, and Zach Dawes. The second single, "A&W,” was co-written and co-produced by Jack Antonoff, and the current single "The Grants" was co-written with Mike Hermosa and features backing vocals from Melodye Perry, Pattie Howard, and Shikena Jones, who appeared in the 2013 music documentary, 20 Feet From Stardom. "The Grants" premiered as Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1.

In an interview conducted by Billie Eilish for Interview, Del Rey revealed that she wanted the music for the album to have "a spiritual element." She also revealed that making the album felt "totally effortless."

Lana was also recently honored with the Visionary Award at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards in Los Angeles.
