Kingfishr’s debut Halcyon is a sweeping blend of Irish roots and modern indie-folk, a sixteen-track collection that turns love, change, and memory into songs built to endure.

Kingfishr’s debut album Halcyon captures the sound of a young Irish band stepping confidently into their moment. Formed in Limerick in 2022 by Eddie Keogh on vocals and guitar, Eoghan “McGoo” McGrath on banjo, and Eoin “Fitz” Fitzgibbon on bass, the trio built their name the old-fashioned way; writing songs in kitchens, playing small rooms, and letting word of mouth carry them forward. Within just a few short years, they have grown from an emerging act to one of Ireland’s most talked-about new bands.

Across sixteen tracks, Halcyon blends banjo, bass, and soaring vocals into a collection that already feels defining. "Killeagh," which topped the Irish Singles Chart and went four times platinum, stands as the centerpiece of their breakout success, while "Diamonds & Roses" and "Next To Me" reveal their ability to pair grit with tenderness. The record also pulls in early fan favorites "Flowers-Fire" and "Eyes Don’t Lie," giving the album the shape of a greatest hits even before their story has fully unfolded. The songs on Halcyon lean into themes that are as personal as they are universal. Love, change, and memory run throughout. Even the quieter tracks carry a weight that lingers, reminding listeners that Kingfishr are crafting music meant to last.

Rooted in rural Ireland, Kingfishr’s music carries the intimacy of their upbringing while also reflecting a hunger for scale. They have shared stages with Dermot Kennedy, George Ezra, and Bruce Springsteen, proving that their sound belongs both in intimate halls and on the biggest stages. Already, they have sold out multiple nights at Dublin’s 3Arena and lined up major festival appearances across Europe.

Halcyon is both a document of where Kingfishr have been and a promise of where they are heading, a debut that connects personal histories to a global audience. It's the sound of three musicians carrying their heritage into the present and shaping it into something that speaks to the uncertainties and possibilities of now.
