Juanes’ JuanesTeban puts the spotlight on a split identity, turning a 16-track concept into a clear look at where he is right now as an artist. It’s built around duality, not as a vague idea but as a working framework, with Juanes stepping into both sides of his personality and letting them play out in full.

On one side, there’s the Juanes people already know. The global ambassador for Latin pop and rock, the songwriter behind 17 chart-toppers and billions of streams, the performer who’s built a reputation on consistency and connection. That voice is still here, grounded in melody, rhythm, and the folkloric roots that have always anchored his music.

But JuanesTeban introduces something sharper. Teban, the alter ego, pushes into less comfortable territory, pulling out the heavier emotions and the kind of honesty that doesn’t smooth itself over. The album moves between those poles, shifting from cumbia-driven warmth to rock-edged tension, from spiritual reflection to something more physical and immediate.

Co-produced with Nico Cotton, the album doesn’t try to resolve those contrasts. It leans into them.
