Following the self-release of Juan El Grande's first three singles, he is back with EXPLORE!, his EP compilation of those songs.
Born on a sunny day in April of 1957 in the quaint town of Veldwezelt, Belgium, Juan El Grande's family soon uprooted and moved to Ekeren, near Antwerp, where the lad spent his formative years.
El Grande's love for music runs deep. Growing up, he found himself immersed in the sounds of "Flower Power" on the airwaves, digging deep into bands like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. However, it was the voice of Noddy Holder from Slade in the early '70s that captured his heart, leading him to collect all of Slade's records. Over the years, his musical palate expanded to include artists like Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Pink Floyd, and later, influences such as Peter Frampton, Simple Minds, and U2.
Driven by his passion, El Grande began playing music himself in cover bands from 2015 onwards. In 2022, he took a significant step by releasing his debut single, "FATHER." Since then, he's been on a creative streak, unveiling his second single, "Another Hero's Gone," in January of 2024 with "Born to Be" following shortly thereafter. El Grande plans to drop his fourth single, "Will 2 Play," scheduled for release on his 67th birthday in April.
El Grande's new EP, EXPLORE!, featuring his first three singles, is out now, and he shows no sign of letting up. Following the EP and "Will 2 Play," he has several new new tracks in the works to drop later in the year.
For Juan El Grande, 2024 is shaping up to be a landmark year, and he's eager for you to join him on this exciting ride.
