Jethro Tull return with their 23rd studio album, RökFlöte, 12 tracks reminding the world of the iconic sound that the legendary band brought to rock music, recorded with the current Tull line-up of Ian Anderson, David Goodier, John O’Hara, Scott Hammond and Joe Parrish James.

Following 2022’s The Zealot Gene, the band's first album in two decades, Ian Anderson and band return with a 12-track record based on the characters and roles of some of the principle gods of the old Norse paganism, and at the same time exploring the “RökFlöte” that Jethro Tull made iconic.

The name of the album comes from "Rock Flute" as the original idea was to make an album of mostly instrumental flute music. But eventually Anderson stated that he was drawn to the phrase Ragnarök with "Rök" meaning destiny, course, or direction. Ian Anderson would then change "Flute" to "Flöte" to "keep with the spelling."

RökFlöte is available in two deluxe formats, a limited deluxe dark red vinyl 2LP+2CD+Blu-ray artbook with two art prints, as well as a limited deluxe 2CD+Blu-ray artbook. Both feature extensive liner notes as well as a CD of demos and a Blu-ray including Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround sound and alternative stereo mixes by Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief), plus an in-depth interview with Ian Anderson. It’s also available as a CD digipak, gatefold black 180g vinyl, and digitally, including spatial audio versions.
