Get ready to groove to the rhythms of Ghost-Note’s Mustard n'Onions as drummer and bandleader Robert "Sput" Searight of Snarky Puppy and percussionist Nate Werth lead an all-star ensemble on a funky voyage like no other.

Since 2014, the collective known as Ghost-Note has wowed audiences around the world with their unique blend of funk, hip-hop, and jazz. Now, with the follow-up to 2018's Swagism, they look to take the funk to new heights with the help of an impressive lineup of players.

Joining Searight and Werth on this adventure are bassist MonoNeon, known for his work with Prince, keyboardist Dominique Xavier Taplin of Toto fame, saxophonist and arranger Sylvester "Sly5thave" Onyejiaka, and special guest keyboardist and living legend Bernard Wright. Together, they create something both soulful and electrifying, a showcase of the undeniable talent and chemistry at work here.

There’s the funky and funny "Bad Knees," which tells a tale of MonoNeon's penchant for dislocating his knees while dancing to James Brown. As Searight explains, "It's a knee-jerking groove that makes you wanna dance," capturing the infectious energy and irresistible rhythm that defines the combo’s sound. Meanwhile, "Where's Danny?" serves as a lively sequel to "Phatbacc." As Searight recounts, the song was inspired by a real-life incident where the band temporarily lost trombonist Danny Wytanis at a festival. Determined never to let it happen again, Searight channels the experience into a funky railroad adventure that’s as exhilarating as it is infectious.

WIth their trademark flair and creativity, each track on Mustard n'Onions shows off the band's fantastic playing and knack for infectious grooves. Grab your dancing shoes and get ready to groove, Ghost-Note is back and funkier than ever.
