Foreigner mark 50 years with In The Eye Of The Storm, a live album that reunites the band's legendary voices while reminding listeners why their songs have stood the test of time.

Fifty years after Mick Jones assembled the first lineup of Foreigner, the band is marking the milestone with a release that looks both backward and forward. In The Eye Of The Storm offers something longtime fans have rarely heard: three generations of Foreigner's lead singers sharing the same songs. Arriving as the soundtrack to the band's anniversary concert film, the collection captures a career that has outlasted changing musical eras while continuing to fill arenas around the world.

Recorded during a dramatic outdoor performance in New York Harbor, In The Eye Of The Storm earned its title honestly. Rain, wind, and flashes of lightning became part of the production, adding an extra layer of atmosphere to a set built around some of classic rock's most enduring songs. Rather than distracting from the performance, the unpredictable weather gives the recordings an energy that couldn't have been recreated in a studio.

A highlight of the album is a newly recorded version of "Feels Like The First Time," bringing together original frontman Lou Gramm, longtime vocalist Kelly Hansen, and current singer Luis Maldonado. Hearing all three voices on the song that introduced Foreigner in 1977 creates a bridge between the band's different eras while underscoring how its body of work has remained larger than any single lineup. Maldonado also steps into the spotlight with a stirring performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water," adding an unexpected moment to a set otherwise anchored by Foreigner's own hits.

Those hits remain the backbone of the album. "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Double Vision," "Urgent," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Juke Box Hero," and "I Want To Know What Love Is" all appear in performances that remind listeners why Foreigner's songs continue to resonate decades after they first climbed the charts.

Since their debut in 1977, Foreigner have sold more than 80 million records worldwide and built one of rock's deepest catalogs of radio staples. Mick Jones remains the band's guiding force, even as health issues have limited his appearances in recent years. Kelly Hansen spent two decades fronting the group before announcing his departure from touring, with Luis Maldonado now carrying the lead vocal role into the band's next chapter. In The Eye Of The Storm captures that transition while celebrating the legacy that made it possible.
