Fishbone return to their roots and also look to the future with new self-titled EP, featuring the infectious and uplifting single, "All We Have Is Now.”

Trailblazing ska/punk/rock architects Fishbone return to reclaim the throne with their new EP, Fishbone, recorded and produced by none other than Fat Mike of NOFX for his Fat Wreck Chords imprint Bottles To The Ground. The cover art, featuring an updated take on the band’s original 1985 debut EP cover, is a subtle nod to David Bowie’s The Next Day, which itself was adapted from Bowie’s 1977 Heroes cover art.

In another nod to the band's roots, Fishbone features the return of Chris Dowd, rejoining the ranks since his departure in 1994. "All We Have Is Now," the EP's lead single, marks a special moment as the first recording featuring this particular lineup in 29 years. After years of touring and lineup changes, 2023 sees Fishbone returning to their most solid configuration, featuring four of its six original members. Angelo Moore (vocals/saxophone), Chris Dowd (keys/vocals), Dirty Walt (trumpet/vocals), Norwood Fisher (bass), along with seasoned Fishbone drummer John Steward and Mark Phillips, compose a lineup that delivers the raw energy fans have come to expect.

Known for their eclectic sound and crazy live shows, Fishbone are poised to leave their mark on the hearts of die-hard fans and newcomers alike with a record that not only lives up to their storied past, but propels them into the future. With a history that already bears the weight of influence on younger bands, Fishbone continues to pave the way, building on a legacy that spans decades. Fishbone showcases their resilience and determination to evolve without losing the essence that defines them.

Born from the punk rock scene of Los Angeles, Fishbone burst out of the gate with unparalleled live energy, a force that remains palpable to this day. Signed to Columbia Records in 1984, the band released four critically acclaimed albums and a myriad of EPs and singles. Their global tours, headlining shows, and festival appearances have consistently left audiences in awe, with many declaring their performances as "one of the best shows ever seen," a sentiment that still resonates from fans to fellow artists. Fishbone are back to remind the world why they are considered the original ska/punk/rock band.
