Feed LA’s More Feed pushes the Berlin collective further into adventurous alt-jazz territory, blending jazz, funk, and low rock into grooves that twist, expand, and surprise at every turn.
Feed LA have returned with More Feed, an album as restless and daring as its name implies. It pushes deeper into experimental terrain, weaving unexpected detours into funk-driven grooves and jazz textures that shift on a dime. Singles like "Feed Lala" capture the spark of their live interplay, while "Fast Cash Up in Stratosphere" takes their exploratory side to the stratosphere, quite literally.
Feed LA might call Berlin home, but their music belongs everywhere. Formed in 2020 out of the city’s underground funk and jazz circles, the collective brings together keyboardist Özgür Bayraktar, drummer Daniel Ray Gahn, bassist Jeff Özdemir, and trumpeter-vocalist Michael “Treetop” Voss. Together they’ve carved out a sound that bends categories, mixing improvisational jazz with funk, low rock, and a shape-shifting energy they simply call "free pop."
Their self-titled debut in 2023 introduced the world to a group unafraid to collide horns, basslines, drum breaks, and keys into something that shimmers and sways like a late-night jam session caught on tape. It's an album that reveals new corners with every listen, flowering out into fresh colors before folding back into itself. Critics and fans alike praised it for its ability to feel both spontaneous and fully realized, a difficult balance that has since become the band’s trademark.
What makes Feed LA stand out is their refusal to be pinned down. They are deeply rooted in the traditions of jazz and funk, yet constantly chasing the unknown. Each release feels like an open invitation: step inside, see where the groove takes you, and do not expect to leave the same way you came in.
