Multi-Grammy winning internationally celebrated pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger Eliane Elias returns to her signature style of Brazilian jazz with Time And Again. Guests include Bill Frissell, Peter Erskine and Djavan.

Eliane Elias, the internationally acclaimed Brazilian pianist, composer, and vocalist, reaches new artistic heights with her latest album, Time And Again. Following her recent Grammy and Latin Grammy Award wins, this album underscores Elias' distinctive blend of Brazilian heritage, jazz sophistication, and an infusion of R&B and popular song elements.

Produced by her longtime collaborators Marc Johnson and Steve Rodby, Time And Again features eight original compositions that spotlight Elias' extraordinary songwriting talent. The album includes an impressive array of musicians, including guitarists Conrado Goys, Marcus Teixeira, Daniel Santiago, and the iconic Bill Frisell. Notable guest appearances include vibraphonist Mike Mainieri, drummer Peter Erskine, and background vocals by Mark Kibble. The first single, "Sempre," features the legendary Brazilian composer and pop star Djavan.

Further, Elias breathes new life into three of her earlier instrumental pieces, enhancing them with fresh lyrics, tempos, and arrangements. This reimagining brings out an emotional depth, inspired by her collaboration with the poet Vinícius de Moraes. Sung in both English and Portuguese, the album explores themes of love, joy, and life's transitions, with highlights such as "At First Sight," "It's Time," and "How Many Times."

Time And Again showcases Eliane Elias' artistic brilliance and her knack for surprising her audience with innovative creativity. Her captivating vocals, virtuosic musicianship, and compelling songwriting solidify her status as the queen of Brazilian jazz, as the Los Angeles Times aptly puts it, “Elias’ strengths as a jazz artist, combined with her roots in São Paulo, make her one of the most impressive interpreters of jazz-linked bossa novas, sambas, and choros.”
