Duran Duran are ready to haunt your senses and rock your night with their soundtrack for the ultimate Halloween party, DANSE MACABRE. Guests include former band members Andy Taylor and Warren Cuccurullo, Nile Rodgers, and Victoria De Angelis of Måneskin.

Duran Duran's new album, DANSE MACABRE brings out bright melodies from the depths of darkness by featuring new songs, themed covers, and innovative reinterpretations of a few of the band's spookier cuts. But it’s not just a Halloween album, it's a celebration of the band's musical diversity.

The story of DANSE MACABRE begins on Halloween night in Las Vegas, 2022, when Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor embarked on a one of a kind journey. Dressed to the nines in full costume, they conjured an eerie spectacle on stage, complete with 20-foot high skeletons, tombstones, cobwebs, and coffins. Their setlist was a treasure trove of rarities and special covers, a performance that etched its name in Duran history as a Halloween show for the ages. The band reveled in the experience so much that they decided to capture it for posterity by creating an album around it.

The title track kicks off the album with anxious percussion and a growling synthesizer, setting the pace for the album. Le Bon's swaggering verses give way to a hypnotic, handclap-laden hook. Working again with producer Mr. Hudson, who had previously worked with the band on the Paper Gods album, the song also features a special guest appearance by former guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, their first collaboration since 2001. Keyboardist Rhodes sheds light on the inspiration behind the track, saying, "The song 'Danse Macabre' celebrates the joy and madness of Halloween."

The album features an array of cover versions picked specifically for Halloween, including Billie Eilish's "Bury A Friend," Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer" with Victoria De Angelis of Måneskin, the Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black," the Rick James-inspired "Super Lonely Freak," Siouxsie And The Banshees' "Spellbound," Cerrone's "Supernature," and the Specials' "Ghost Town."

DANSE MACABRE is an invitation to lose yourself in Duran Duran's electrifying world. The album explores different dimensions, from the dance-rock glamour of "Black Moonlight," featuring Nile Rodgers and Andy Taylor on guitar, to the epic coda of "Confession In The Afterlife.” Alongside a second appearance by Cuccurullo on "Love Voudou," the album also presents newly recorded versions of "Nightboat" and the fan-favorite "Secret Oktober 31st," both featuring Andy Taylor on guitar. The presence of Andy Taylor and Warren Cuccurullo embodies the true spirit of the album - a celebration of the raw energy and the sheer fun that emerges when friends come together to create music in the same room.

As Duran Duran celebrate with DANSE MACABRE, they continue to redefine their musical legacy and enchant fans with their unparalleled creativity and spirit, whether on Halloween or any other day of the year.
