Dan + Shay’s Young finds the Grammy-winning duo reflecting on family, faith, dreams, and the passage of time across 10 deeply personal new songs.

Dan + Shay turn their attention to the moments that shape a life on Young, a new 10-track album centered on family, faith, ambition, and the passage of time. For Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, those themes come from personal experience, reflecting where they are now after more than a dozen years together and one of the busiest stretches of their career.

At the heart of Young is “Say So,” a powerful single that captures the duo’s gift for pairing an emotional lyric with the polished harmonies that have become their calling card. Throughout the album, Smyers and Mooney look at growing older without losing sight of the dreams, relationships, and beliefs that brought them this far.

Young follows their acclaimed fifth album, Bigger Houses, which produced the Grammy-nominated No. 1 title track. Smyers once again takes a hand in shaping the record behind the scenes, co-producing alongside longtime collaborator Scott Hendricks. Together, they give the songs plenty of room for Dan + Shay’s voices and storytelling to remain front and center.

The album arrives at a point when the duo has plenty to look back on. Three Grammy Awards, more than 14 billion global streams, and 139 worldwide multi-platinum, platinum, and gold certifications have made Dan + Shay one of country music’s biggest crossover success stories. But Young is focused on something more personal than career milestones.

Its songs reflect two artists balancing music with marriage, children, faith, and the realization that life has a way of moving faster than expected. The title itself carries that idea, looking at what it means to hold onto the excitement and optimism of youth even as responsibilities grow and priorities change.

With Young, Dan + Shay capture where they are today while remembering what set them on this path in the first place. It’s an album about growing up, following dreams, and appreciating the people who make the journey worthwhile.
