Coolio’s third studio album, My Soul, was praised for more elaborate production, boasting obscure samples, violins, sound bites and guitars than his previous releases; this 25th anniversary edition includes two versions of the hit single “CU When You Get There” (Run Swan’s Mix and Bill & Humberto’s Orchestra Mix) never before available digitally.

Initially released on August 26, 1997, My Soul included the hit single, "C U When U Get There," which was also featured on the soundtrack to the 1997 comedy film Nothing to Lose. The song peaked at #12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and #7 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart. It was also an international success reaching the top 10 in many countries throughtout Europe.
