Colter Wall's highly anticipated album, Little Songs, offers a captivating glimpse into the rural work and social life of the Canadian West.

The first thing that grabs you and shakes you to your core is that voice! As deep as the valleys he writes about, Colter Wall's voice sounds like something resting comfortably between a delicious vat of dark chocolate and and a well worn leather belt which has been soaking in a barrel of whiskey for a few years.

Hailing from the prairies of southern Saskatchewan, Wall brings his distinct hardscrabble voice to connect the contemporary world with the values, hardships, and celebrations of rural existence. Produced by the singer himself alongside Patrick Lyons, Little Songs features eight original songs and two beloved covers, Hoyt Axton's "Evangelina," and Ian Tyson's "The Coyote & The Cowboy," all brought to life by a band deeply entrenched in the traditional sounds of Wall's prairie homeland.

Written in Wall's hometown of Battle Creek, Saskatchewan, the songs were later tracked at Yellowdog Studios in Wimberly, Texas, where Wall recorded his 2020 Billboard-charting album, Western Swing & Waltzes And Other Punchy Songs. The new album showcases a remarkable maturity and emotional depth, with each track carrying the weight of Wall's resonant baritone voice.

The release of Little Songs marks the beginning of a new chapter following the partnership between Wall's long-standing label, La Honda Records, and RCA. This joint venture sets the stage for Wall's first album under the collaboration. Prior to the album's release, Wall treated fans to two standalone singles, "Cypress Hills And The Big Country," and a cover of the late great Cowboy Jack Clement's "Let's All Help The Cowboys (Sing The Blues)," as well as his acclaimed Western Swing LP and the exclusive vinyl-only release of Colter Wall and the Scary Prairie Boys' Live In Front Of Nobody, a captivating full-band livestream show from 2021 that became a coveted and limited indie record store vinyl-only release.

With his rich storytelling and soul-stirring vocals, Colter Wall has delivered an album that pays homage to his roots while resonating with audiences far beyond the prairies of Saskatchewan.
