Butcher Brown Presents Triple Trey deconstructs big band jazz and reshapes it in the band’s eclectic image. Randazzo adapted Tennishu's rap beats and Tennishu finds new pockets of rhyme amidst party-starting originals, all for a contemporary genre-smashing injection into the past.

The inspiration for Butcher Brown’s new album, Presents: Triple Trey (featuring Tennishu and R4ND4ZZO BIGB4ND) comes from Tennishu’s solo album Triple Trey released in May 2019. Shortly after, Tennishu and R4ND4ZZO came up with the idea of performing the album live with Butcher Brown and a big band. The performance received such an enthusiastic response from the audience Butcher Brown decided it must be recorded. So, in August of that same year, the band stepped into Minimum Wage Studios in Richmond and began laying down what would become Butcher Brown Presents: Triple Trey (featuring Tennishu and R4ND4ZZO BIGB4ND). The result is a groundbreaking fusion of rap and big band. There’s nothing like it.
