Benson Boone doubles down on his breakout success with American Heart, a bold, hook-filled second album that channels vintage flair and viral momentum into full-blown pop stardom.

If 2024 was the year Benson Boone broke through, 2025 is shaping up to be the year he takes over. The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has released his hotly anticipated sophomore album American Heart - a bold, emotionally-charged follow-up that sharpens his artistic voice without losing the raw sincerity that made fans fall for him in the first place.

Boone first broke the news of American Heart from the Coachella main stage, where he stunned the crowd - not just with his festival debut, but by bringing out Queen’s Brian May for a jaw-dropping rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The moment quickly went viral, racking up more than 48 million Instagram views and earning praise from Rolling Stone, who called Boone “the future of music.” Not bad for someone who only released his debut album last year.

Born and raised in Monroe, Washington, Boone first gained national attention on American Idol before choosing to leave the show early and carve his own path. That instinct, part guts, part vision, paid off in a big way. His 2024 debut Fireworks & Rollerblades turned viral momentum into chart domination, anchored by the 5x platinum single “Beautiful Things.” The track became the most streamed song in the world, spent seven weeks atop the Billboard Global 200, and earned Boone an IFPI Global Single Award along with wins from Billboard, MTV, and iHeart.

American Heart builds on that success with a deeper sense of purpose. Boone leans into vivid storytelling and a rock-tinged ‘70s pop aesthetic that nods to Queen, Elton John, and Billy Joel, all while sounding unmistakably his. Lead single “Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else” topped multiple charts, and his Saturday Night Live debut back in May showed off the same vocal power and magnetic presence that’s made him a breakout star across generations.

American Heart now out, high-profile festival appearances lined up, and a new wave of tour dates on the way, Benson Boone is writing his next chapter - and he’s writing it in bold, stadium-sized letters.
