Beach Bunny channel post-adolescent angst into tight hooks and sharper truths on Tunnel Vision, their most focused and fearless album yet.

Lili Trifilio has never been afraid to speak her mind, but on Tunnel Vision, Beach Bunny’s third album, she sharpens her focus and cuts deeper. The new album trades sugary heartbreak anthems for something more raw and reflective, channeling quarter-life confusion into tight, emotionally charged indie rock that feels both restless and refined.

Written in the wake of Emotional Creature and shaped by years of touring, Tunnel Vision finds the Chicago trio leveling up without losing their edge. The album’s title track, paired with a surreal, painterly video, sets the tone: Trifilio drifts through a maze of anxiety and overstimulation before stumbling into something like peace. It’s disorienting but strangely hopeful, much like the record itself.

Clocking in at just under 30 minutes, Tunnel Vision doesn’t waste a second. Songs like “Vertigo,” “Mr. Predictable,” and “Violence” push against the boundaries of Beach Bunny’s earlier work, trading polished pop-punk hooks for leaner, nervier arrangements. Trifilio’s lyrics are sharper too, zeroing in on personal disconnect, social burnout, and the emotional whiplash of modern life. “Clueless” and “Pixie Cut” may flirt with the band’s earlier buoyancy, but there’s a new urgency under the surface.

One standout is “Cycles,” a reworked version of a solo track that feels right at home here, rounding out an album that wrestles with growth, self-doubt, and the pursuit of perspective. There’s no grand reinvention, just a steady, intentional shift — Beach Bunny stretching without snapping.

With a fanbase that’s only grown more devoted, Tunnel Vision feels like a defining moment. It’s not about seeing everything clearly. It’s about learning what to look at and letting the rest blur.
