Angine de Poitrine's cult classic Vol. I and new Vol. II get official wide releases after one of the year's most unlikely viral music discoveries.

Some bands build a buzz slowly. Others, like Angine de Poitrine, seem to bend space-time by rocketing out of nowhere into the hearts and minds of music fans everywhere. The enigmatic duo of Klek and Khn de Poitrine have spent the past few years transforming an absurdly original concept into one of underground music's most unlikely success stories, earning millions of views for their hypnotic KEXP performance and selling out tours almost as quickly as tickets go on sale. Now, their first two albums, Vol. I and Vol. II, are finally receiving their first wide vinyl and CD releases, giving everyone the chance to bring home and experience the controlled chaos that made them viral sensations.

Known as time-traveling brothers obsessed with hot dogs, pyramids, and the transcendent power of rock music, Angine de Poitrine blur the line between performance art and sonic experimentation. Their music is built on rigid, motorik drum grooves, densely layered microtonal guitars, and spaced-out textures that are equal parts psychedelic ritual and prog rock riffage. It's strange, funny, and surprisingly infectious.

Vol. I serves as the perfect portal into the duo's universe. Beneath its surreal mythology lies a fiercely disciplined record that fuses rock's primal energy with hypnotic repetition and superb musicianship. The result is something both futuristic and oddly familiar, like you’ve heard it somewhere before, but you’re not sure. Maybe it was all a dream.

If the debut establishes the blueprint, Vol. II builds the temple. Leaner, denser, and more direct, the album pushes the "Poitrine brothers" deeper into their singular vision, embracing stranger song structures, weirder dynamic shifts, and a sneaky sense of humor that rewards repeat listens. Their trademark blend of acid techno, disco rhythms, and guitar-driven rock remains intact, but the chemistry feels even more volatile, like a science experiment teetering on the edge of going very wrong. Album opener "Fabienk" has already become a phenomenon, ranking among the 50 most Shazam’ed tracks in the world, clear evidence of the duo's uncanny ability to take the unconventional and make it irresistibly catchy.

For longtime fans, these wide releases are overdue celebrations of two records that helped launch one of modern rock's most intriguing cult acts. For newcomers, Vol. I and Vol. II offer the perfect entry point into a universe where genre boundaries collapse, timelines and time signatures blur, and rock music still has the power to create wonder.
