Hailing from Austin, TX and coming fresh off a stellar run at SXSW, Alpha Rev's name comes from the combination of Greek and Latin words to loosely mean 'the beginning of something new.' Fronted by Casey McPherson (but a band of seven including a cellist and violinist), the band's debut single 'New Morning' is rocketing up the AAA radio chart.
The Mark Pellington (Pearl Jam, U2, DMB, Keane) directed video is making big waves with a VH1 You Oughta Know campaign that started on 4/5. Songs from the album can also be heard across all VH1 and MTV properties thanks to an innovative licensing agreement. Expect great things from this great band.
