Nels Cline is the lead guitarist in Wilco, and well known for his work with members of Sonic Youth, Deerhoof, Mike Watt, The Geraldine Fibbers, Yuka Honda, and many others.
The new double album Initiate by The Nels Cline Singers featuring bassist Devin Hoff (formerly of Xiu Xiu) and drummer Scott Amendola, documents a remarkable three-day recording session at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley as well as The Singers' first live concert recording at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco.
The beautiful CD package features photographs by Simon Norfolk of the Large Hadron Collider recently in the news.
