Cold War Kids are proud to announce the release of their third studio album, Mine Is Yours which was produced by Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, Tom Waits, Norah Jones, Modest Mouse). Mine Is Yours shows the band harness their idiosyncratic soul punk sound as it takes a massive leap forward in songwriting, sonics, and execution. Lead singer Nathan Willett takes a different approach to his writing on this record as well, offering more intimate and personal lyrical content.
'I got home from tour and realized I was married. All my friends had either jumped in the deep end of a relationship or had drowned. When did things get so serious? We fought growing up but the wild nights and free-for-all caught up to us. Some people got out in time and others had permanent damage. For this record, I wrote about the joys and failures of commitment all around me,' says Willett.
