Jack DeJohnette is one of the most influential jazz drummers of the 20th century. Jack was recently recognized as a Jazz Master by the National Endowment of the Arts at Lincoln Center in New York and appeared on the live CBS telecast of the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors program playing drums in a tribute to Sonny Rollins.

Sound Travels moves from Latin grooves to a kinetic West Indian workout ('Sonny Light' a tribute to Mr. Rollins), to a haunting partnership with vocal genius Bobby McFerrin ('Oneness'). Finally, there is 'Dirty Ground,' a great tune with lyrics and vocals by Bruce Hornsby.

Sound Travels is a definitive portrait of a true musical immortal.
